Monday evening I watched a wonderful movie on one of the HBO movie channels titled XXY.The film takes a look at the trials and tribulations of a family whose 15 year old daughter is a hermaphrodite and the young girl's struggle with deciding her identity as she has reached puberty and all that goes with being a young teenager.
XXY was released in 2007 and made by an Argentine film group. Sub-titles are provided in the film for those who don't speak Spanish.
Regardless of where you fall into the LGBT community, I believe everyone will be able to relate with Alex and her family.
I'm going to stop here, as for those who care to watch the film I don't want to spoil it. I will say this, you need to put it on your must view list.
